She started volunteering at Centerville Elementary School as a PTO Officer in 1999 and substitute teaching at Centerville in 2002 to be close to her children. Some of her duties at the Co-Op are helping with the yearly budget and monthly expenditure reports. She taught at Centerville I.S.D. for 17 years prior to this assignment. She is an active member of the T.A.V.A.C. organization. As the VAC Specialist, guidance and encouragement are offered to students that are currently participating in the employment field while still attending high school. As the Transition Specialist, guidance is provided to students in their decision making process in discovering their post secondary goals.
